Word | Why am I typing in Greek not Māori?

Word is automatically and incorrectly adjusting the language settings.

To prevent this from happening and to fix your current document -

  • Select the whole document (eg Control A)
  • Tools menu
  • Language
  • Set Language
  • Untick "detect language automatically"
  • Now click on the language toolbar down at the bottom of the screen, near the clock
  • Change your keyboard language to EN - English New Zealand
