Virus | Is antivirus software installed?
Yes. Antivirus (or anti-virus) software is installed on the APNK computers.
The APNK computers are protected from viruses in a number of ways:
- anti-virus software is installed so viruses on disks and other removable media such as USB flash drives will be detected and quarantined
- internet sites (downloads and uploads) are scanned for viruses
- a strict network policy prevents exploitation of vulnerabilities
- all changes to software, including the possibility of a virus being introduced, are wiped when the computer is restarted
- Windows critical updates are regularly applied.
