Frequently Asked Questions

Scanning | Where do I save scans?

Scanned files can either be saved to a Scanner Folder or a USB flash drive.

Perhaps the easiest and most portable method is using a USB flash drive, particularly if you do not wish to use the APNK computers to access your file.

Option 1 - Scanner Folder

  • You can scan and then access the file via a shortcut on the desktop of the local APNK computers "Scanner Folder".
  • Each new scan goes into a new sub-folder so you may need to identify your scan from the time/date on the folder/file.
  • Note - scans are deleted overnight from the scanner folder (or you can choose to delete your scans).
  • Instructions
    - touch Scan to PC
    - touch Address Book
    - touch 01 Scans Folder
    - Close
  • Press the green START button to begin scanning

Option 2 - USB flash drive

  • You can also use a USB flash drive or "thumb drive" as the destination for your scans.
  • Use the "Scan to Media" option then insert your USB stick in the front of the scanner and follow the Scanner's onscreen instructions.
  • Use this option if you wish to access the file from your laptop
  • Instructions
    - insert USB flash drive in the port located at the front left of the scanner, look for the USB symbol
    - touch Scan to Media
    - press the green START button to begin scanning
