Scanning | Why change file type and how?
The APNK flat-bed scanners default to file type JPEG. You may wish to change this, for example to
PDF - to share the file with other people and you wish to preserve the formatting and reduce peoples ability to edit the file
TIFF - you wish to OCR the file
- The APNK recommends you do NOT use TIFF file format unless for OCRing.
- See Scanning | Are there problems with APNK TIFFs?
Multi-page TIFF - you wish to create one file with more than one page within it
- However, see Scanning | Are there problems with APNK TIFFs?
