PDFs | How can I create a PDF?

Here are some options available for creating a PDF (Portable Document Format) on APNK computers -

  • Print to PDFCreator
  • Use OpenOffice to export to PDF
  • MS Office 2007 (note requires Service Pack 2)    Office Button | Save As arrow | PDF

Scenarios for creating a PDF

  • you wish to email your CV but you do not know if the person you are sending it to has MS Word
  • you wish to attach your CV to an online job application and you don't want the formating of your Word document to change or be edited by someone else
  • you wish to save a webpage to your USB memory stick but the File Save or File Save As options are not working for you
  • you are unable to print a file due to a printing error - try creating a new PDF and then printing it.
